Fashion Magazines Ad Pages
Looks like everyone is not doing so hot.
Conde Nast’s Vogue and W, both suffered the most loss in ad pages (meaning less money for the magazines).
Elle on the other hand seems to be staying afloat quite well.
According to the NY Post, Vogue’s September 2009 issue will have 400 pages.
The September 2007 issue had 727 pages while the September 2008 issue had 607 pages.
This is how thick the September 2007 issue is, compared to my very boring Financial Accounting text book.
Could you imagine a world filled with no paper magazines? Every thing just found online? I don’t want to think about it.

Gosh! I'm worried. They better start experimenting more with their covers!! I mean, what do they have to lose? If I were Anna I would make a statement with the cover, just to test the waters - who knows, maybe the American people will like something a little more different. She should hire Juergen Teller to shoot Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell or Scarlet Johanson (fashionable women who's covers sell high amounts) in some kind of edgy setting. OR, if Vogue REALLY needs some money - put Jennifer Lopez on the cover. Latina women sell the most magazines than anyone else - especially Jennifer Lopez.
Only 400 pages! I was really looking forward to an 800 page issue like last year.
