At the start of her modeling career, Roslyakova changed her name from Elena to Vlada in order to distinguish herself from another model named Elena Rosenkova. She began in Russia, then moved on to Tokyo. After her first show, Yohji Yamamoto Spring 2004, VWhen she arrived in New York City, she modelled for better-known designers and became one of the most sought-after faces in the industry.

Her ad campaigns now include Nina Ricci, Moschino Cheap & Chic, D&G, Vera Wang Bridal, Burberry Blue Label, Hermès, Miss Sixty, MaxMara, Christian Lacroix, Dolce & Gabbana, Jill Stuart Beauty, Jill Stuart Fragrance,Derercuny, Donna Karen, DKNY, Daks Japan, Karl Lagerfeld, and Lacoste. Additionally, Vlada has been the muse for designer Christian Lacroix. In the September issue of Harper's Bazaar, she was styled as Grace Kelly in the Hitchcock classic Rear Window, opposite fashion designer Michael Kors, in an editorial.

She did the right thing by changing her name; everyone just knows her by Vlada and no other model has that name. I think she's one of the few models who are amazing on the catwalk and amazing in editorials. She also has a really bright personality. Let's face it, a lot of the models don't look too happy ( Snejana Onopka) Although I like her new red hair; I really wish she would go back to her natural hair color. The girl who needs to go back to red is Olga Sherer.

I love this ed....it reminds me of flemmish paintings! but with modern clothes.
