First Look: Vogue US August 2009 Cover
It is great in terms of the photography(Annie Leibovitz always knows what makes a great cover pic, she always knows to save room for the text), but…
As much as I love you Christy, you look like a mannequin on this cover. Can you move your face?
And god damn it. That text is so distracting, especially the “What Works” part blah blah blah….and if they nixed that, they wouldn’t have needed to cover up part of the V in “Vogue”. Actually, ninety percent of the text on this cover is unnecessary.
US Vogue has a tendency to butcher the Supers. Exhibit A:
I should be glad, grateful, that a model is finally on the cover. But they still manage to ruin that experience.
Maybe there is a perfectly good reason why US Vogue prefers not to have models on the covers. Maybe it is because they end up making these beautiful girls look __you fill in the blank___.
Christy, I love you, but thanks to this cover, you’ll have people associating you with this character.

Personally, I think it looks AWSOME when it is just the model and then "VOGUE". To text.
It's definetely better than the 2 last ones. But I doubt they can beat Vogue UK's July ageless issue.
YES!! I've recently decided that Christy is my favorite of the supers next to Naomi and Tyra. So, I am very happy with this. This cover is absolutely beautiful! But, please put a spoiler when it comes time to post the photo-shoots! I'm gonna wait for when the issue arrives. :)
