How Phresh

This is such a refreshing editorial. Maybe it is the Asian models we rarely see, or perhaps the shockingly white background that make the vibrant colors of the clothes absolutely pop, or maybe it is the whimsical accessories and the 80’s hair and make up…whatever they are doing, it works well enough for me.

Negatives? Well the white background that forces the clothes center stage also works in its folly. All you need is to super impose a text of the label and you have yourself an ad campaign for various designers. It looks too much like an ad.

Now I am going to stop criticizing and just enjoy the ed.

Cute poses.

Kasia had a post a while ago about the "Fight Pose" and this is just that all over again. That whole pose and theme is great but why don't they experiment with something different?

I figured I'd like the Balenciaga one, but I clicked it and the models are way too obnoxious up close in my opinion, they ruin the shot in some cases. However, in other cases they seam to balance out a bit with the flashy garments. I don't know if I like it, nor would I ever cast these girls, but it is definitely refreshing.

I really like it, it makes me feel like eating those colourful gums that I used to be addicted to when I were 6 years old. :D
