I found this show incredibly boring and annoying beyond belief. I'm sorry but I really don't feel bad for her. She spends more time making people feel sorry for her that she has such a hard job than she actually does picking the dresses.
I apologize if I'm taking a more mainstream approach to this show, but she's just picking out a dress, none of which are even anything that special, just boring designer dresses. That's simply not hard to do at all, nor should that take up an hour of TV time. And, she thinks all of these designers love her but the only reason they even speak to her is because they want her to buy their dresses so they can make some cash.
I'm sorry that I'm always ranting about things, but I can't help it.
It is a stressful job. It is not easy picking the right dress for the right celebrity (who by the way, are not models, and they don't always look in the dresses and they have the media, and assholes like perez hilton to deal with, so they have to look good...and they have huge egos and are not always willing to try on the high fashion outfits rachel asks them to try on) . I mean it is an art form.
There are so many things to consider: the type of celebrity: is it age appropriate? Are they owning the dress? Does it look like the are wearing a dress or does it look like the dress is wearing them.
And it is a difficult job Kasia, especially in this economy. In the show Rachel mentioned that designers are not sending her any couture for clients to try on because it might not even get worn...and there is the time factor
You of all people know that the couture shows happen like less than a week before the actual award shows...so there is always a rush...ans sometimes things get lost in the mail (by the way i just got my August Interview issue in the mail a couple days ago).
Anyways, you feel the need to rant and i feel the need to defend her. I think she is quite talented and the show is entertaining...and at least in this show we see Karl Lagerfeld and DvF unlike other "fashion" reality shows.
