I fell off my chair when I first saw the previews of this collection. How awesome is this post apocalyptic vision?

I love how everything is reconstructed and broken down and turned into something beautiful.  Some of the silhouettes and techniques are reminiscent of last season, but you can really see how they have grown and progressed their idea…especially in the final black dresses. At first I was like, why would you put black on black? We wont be able to see the details of your hard work from photos and at a distance. They proved me wrong. It’s as if they knew that would be a challenge and knew that would be a great way to showcase their genius by piling on different textures of black fabric together. The final effect is awe-inspiring.

How fierce are those last three looks worn by Valerija, Alla and Iris? Those three models were the embodiment of this collection I felt. Absolutely perfect.

The Mulleavy sisters inspiration were the scarred, burned lands of Death Valley.

Can’t you just wait till Stardoll releases these in the Fallen Angel shop?! I want those tribal tattoos too!

Christian Cota Christian Cota-1Christian Cota

The only model I recognize from this whole presentation was Hollis. No matter, the garments spoke for themselves.

I love the Alaia influence in the first dress and the play of proportions to these dresses.

Along with Altuzarra and Prabal Gurung, Christian Cota has been added to my list of must-see new designers.

HalstonHalston

How long ‘till Rachel Zoe or Angelina Jolie wears one of these dresses?

This vintage-inspired collection by Marios Schwab perfectly captured the legacy of the Halston house. It all looks so very Studio 54 Halston.

I love the silk jumpsuit and the one-shouldered dresses. Everything here looks so comfortable. It’s like the opposite of Herve Leger bandage dresses or Balmain, you know? Where with those clothes, everything is so tight and short. But with Halston, it looks and feels so liberating and light. You don’t have to suck in your stomach as much or worry about how unflattering your back side must look. You can just enjoy yourself and feel pretty and like a disco goddess.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Marc by Marc Jacobs-1 Marc by Marc Jacobs-2 Marc by Marc Jacobs-3 Marc by Marc Jacobs

This collection felt to me like the remnants of Spring 2009. From the red-and black skirt looks like it was made from left over fabric from that one Louis Vuitton tip and some of dresses and jackets looked like they were made with the same dress patterns as the spring 2009 and resort collections. No matter. I am not complaining. seeing how M by MJ is so much cheaper, I’d definitely won’t mind having a chance of coveting those pieces.

Karlie opened while Tao closed. Go Tao! And how out of place did Iris look in this show? She looked like a sore thumb sticking out with her giant self.

Light, airy fabrics and  lip print dresses.  Hmm…Can’t wait to see how Stardoll interprets all that.

Lindsay Wixson opened and closed the show (she also opened Brian Reyes this same day). The girl is on fire. Someone get a hose. Like Rel and Melo, casting agents have been trying to make her happen.

Vera Wang Vera Wang-1Vera Wang

Gorgeous  and flattering dresses for every woman.I love how lush the fabrics look and how the fit isn’t too tight.

Narciso Rodriguez Narciso Rodriguez-1Narciso Rodriguez

I guess at this point Narciso is done with his whole bondage-inspired dresses that blew everyone away in the early 00’s. He focused this time with the masterful cut of the clothes.

Karmen Pedaru looks like she opened and closed.

MulberryMulberry

Such a fun collection. The models all came out with wigs of crimped hair. The last look made me lol.

Max AzriaMax Azria

Clean lines and very simplified, mostly.

My favorite has to be the brownish-grayish dress where the right sleeve is 3/4 length and the left is elbow length.

Malandrino Malandrino-1Malandrino

What you would wear if you were to live in Africa for several months.

Betsey Johnson Betsey Johnson 1 Betsey Johnson

Oh Betsey and her colorful 80’s prom dresses. this show looked like a complete fun mess.

I wonder how she did somersaults in the model-filled chaos of a stage.

TibiTibi

I did not like the bird prints. Some of the clothes look like something grandmothers would wear.

Brian Reyes

Lindsay Wixson opened while Katlin Aas closed. Lindsay ahs been on fire on this day.

Badgley Mischka Badgley Mischka-1
Badgley Mischka

I can’t help but feel like they’ve past their prime.

I remember a time when the red carpet would be all about Badley Mischka. Now it just seems as if the industry wants to forget them.
