Valentino Spring/ Summer 2010

I think Rima did an excellent job explaining what has happened to Valentino and how the label is being represented by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli. Thoughthey have not represented Valentino is the collections they have presented, the spring collection did embody the “young and girly” and “soft and “lovely”  characteristics that Valentino himself brought to every collection.

If you have not read Rima’s post : I do not see Valentino is this AT ALL

Look at the details! I mean, they are very talented designers even if they have not shown a full “Valentino” collection… I don’t think anyone will be able to ever replace him.  I still really love this collection though!

I am not one for short dresses, or jumpsuits for that matter (only the really simple ones… they make them with too many bells and whistles these days! blah!) but I love this one! And some of those dresses are really quite beautiful!

same light color palette as classic Valentino

some detailing and ruffling, that “young” feel, same light color palette

BUT STILL NO RED DRESS!
