I agree rima. Personally, I think fur is beautiful, but I don't think it's very youthful; I would never wear fur unless I was over the age of forty. I'm more of a leather girl.
I do not support fur. Not only because of moral reasons, also because Stella McCartney proved that there are perfect ways to fake fur and leather, so I think that using fur while you can use fake fur is a bit dumb. But I'm not an extreme hater of using fur. I can see a fur coat and think that it is beautiful, but I'll never buy clothes with fur. It's like that most of the vegetarians realy don't eat meat, but they don't protest and stuff like that. I just don't do things that I find not moral, but other people have their own choices. I did liked it when PETA threw a cake on Anna Wintour's face, but that was because she's just asking for it! :-P
Anyway, this editorial doesn't look good. Who is the bad stylist? :S
I'm not anti-fur. I think women should be aloud to own leather jacket, or a fur coat. When I saw that PETA woman leap onto the runway of Christian Dior Fall 2003, It made me very upset. That collection was unbelievable. True art is rarer than any animal. To see someone try and devalue a masterpiece of one of the greatest visionaries of our generation, is just depressing in my opinion. Go protest outside KFC, leave fashion alone.
Anyway, with that being said, still, I do not support THIS much fur, because there is just no reason for it. I think if a woman wants - she should be aloud to own a fur coat, but I don't think there should be 30 fur coats sitting in her closet. This photo-shoot is just so over indulgent. If you remember, this editorial was just pages before a separate editorial in the same issue of Vogue, featuring cute dogs modeling with accessories.
I just don't understand how people can kill just for a superficial luxury. I don't think any piece of clothing, no matter how beautiful, can make up for the suffering that the animal goes through. It doesn't seem right to me. However, I don't agree with the way PETA goes about protesting. I think when you disagree with something, you simply shouldn't support it, not bash it in a vulgar manner.
I agree with Kasia. I love fur and I do not think it makes you look "older." I think it shows great style and taste and Steven Meisel who is one of the best if not the best visionary designers today did an amazing job of showing this. I love this shoot, it seems like everyone hates my posts!
I actually kind of like the amount of fur. It reminds you of "Where the Wild Things Are." It is nt like they have a fur skirt with a fur hat and jacket. I think the amount is perfect.
I'm not anti-fur. I see it this way. Like Kasia said it's art. Also the designers ALREADY made it. Someone else would buy it if I didn't. I'm not heartless is just doesn't bother me. Unless i met the animal and watch it get skinned. That would change things

I don't mind fur in fashion, but seeing that much fur makes me sick to the stomach. This literally makes me want to throw up.

LMAO Ana.
I never thought of it like that before.
Come to think of it, everytime I see Mary Kate and Ashley in fur, they look like shriveled up old women with humps on their back.
Like it or not, this editorial really makes you think...
