Changing of the Guards
Vogue Italia June 2009
The Fashion And The Fantasy
Photo: Tim Walker
Model: Malgosia Bela
Don’t like it at all. Self-serving effort on Tim Walker’s part. Trying too hard to look artsy. “Artistic masturbation”, as Woody Allen would call it.
I don’t see the clothes in all those far shots and the lighting makes the colors look blah…like urine.
And this is the kind of editorial that reminds you that models are not actresses. She looks so dead and hollow.
This has got to be one of the most disappointing Vogue Italia issue for me.

I really hate the lighting in this editorial. Vogue Italia is usually high class and beautiful but this is dissapointing.
“Artistic masturbation”
LMAO, I love Woody Allen :D
The first shot is amazing in my opinion. Really, I love it. She looks so distraught while the soldiers are so prim, and perfect. The rest of the editorial is kind of overkill though.
