Is that the same garment just Photoshopped differently? Oh god. It's so commercial to me - there's no artistic value to this at all. I never thought I would say that about Meisel and Marc. I thought for sure the other shots would be different than this. They might have well just typed out "MADONNA" and "LOUIS VUITTON HANDBAGS" and used that as their advertisement. This is what sells to the mainstream - they just want to see the bags and the celebrity - but, what about staying loyal to all that Marc Jacobs stands for within his direction for Louis Vuitton? Since when was he all about middle-aged man-eater blondes sprawling out on velvet chairs exposing their cleavage in little pink dresses, while clutching their giant Louis Vuitton above their crotches? I am so disappointed. Either the brand is struggling in these economic times and they need to go with a much more commercial approach to advertising, or Marc has completely changed his views.
