China loves Coke... a lot. They have the best commercials for them at The World of Coke. And he has a Nike scok on! Maybe they represent her many children?
In the third photo:
The woman who have a different dress (with black and white) is wearing a shoes that I never have seen.
Maybe she's the incredibly chic older sister?
I can see where the confusion's coming from but the concept is actually simple.
These kids represents the young Chinese athletes. There was a documentary done previously on children as young as 4 years old being put to training for the Olympics in China. As you all know, China is not a well to do country and the way to make big money is by being an athlete. The ironing picture, no they're not slaves, it's to show their independence as this young athletes are put in a hostel and they have to do everything themselves.
The Coke and Nike are probably examples of endorsement they could get if they make it big as an athlete.
