I laughed when I saw the cover because I remember all of those photos released on the internet of her shooting this cover. Congratulations Lindsay on your first Vogue cover! That is so exciting.
If I see this at Barnes & Noble I'll buy it. :)
And, Rima, she looks fine. No need to have so much hatred!
Kasia I am not a hater...and i really don't want to pick a fight with you
I like her sometimes and i don't like her sometimes (especially when she does dumb, drama queen, attention whore, crackhead stunts)
I don't have to like her all the time. She is talented and beautiful but she is also a dumbfuck
and i am looking at this subjectively.
it is an awful cover and an awful spread that is photoshopped to make her look like someone she is not (a beanstalk giant by elongating her thro photoshop/ a crackhead version of marilyn monroe)
this whole photoshoot looks tacky and unoriginal (as see_my_bling kind of pointed out)...i don't even know why they bother to put a blonde wig on her...i get that she connects with the whole Marilyn tragic persona thing....but this photoshoot is a whole delusional mess
you like the photoshoot fine...but I can hate it to the bone if I want to...because quite frankly, she looks awful and sick in here (and that is a bad sign because so many people were paid to make her look unlike her real-life mess of a self)
I get that you feel defensive about her...i mean, i am the biggest Amy Winehouse fan and I know the feeling of what it is like when people perceive my hero as a 'loser'...but sometimes you have to open your eyes, see them as they are and not put them in some unfair pedastal...they are human beings who fuck up too...and sometimes it is fine to hate our heroes...
I know what you're saying, maybe the styling and photoshop is very bad, and they did make her look really tall - but this is just Spanish Vogue, you shouldn't expect French Vogue. I don't think there is anything wrong with her landing a Vogue cover - she's not the best role model, but she's no one to hate. Wearing grungy clothing and dating within your gender shouldn't really be considered bad things - everyone has to make fun of her and say that she looks like an old crackhead - and then go on to say how they feel sorry for her as though that's going to help her. Drinking while driving is just awful, and I certainly don't like Lindsay as much for doing that, but whatever, that was a few years ago and she hasn't done it since. She's never been on tape snorting coke nor has she stole thousands of dollars worth of department store clothing, and she never filmed a sex tape - it seams all of those women have had Vogue covers before, and no one has complained. Like you said, people make mistakes and it's bad for a while and it's Ok not to like them - but then eventually you move on. I understand why you say that it's Ok to hate our heroes because they all "fuck up too", but what I don't understand is how this is a 'fuck up' - Lindsay wasn't in charge of the art direction for this cover, all she did was pose - I'm pretty sure I would pose for a Vogue cover as well. I hate that she drove while intoxicated, but that was a few years ago, and I just don't think Lindsay needs more people hating her. How is anyone able to reach success without support? I mean, if you're incredibly stupid and are convinced that all of society loves you when they don't (Heidi & Spencer), but when you're a smart girl like Lindsay who knows what's going on, it's a shock that she's even still able to keep her head up high. She's just a girl. A girl who grew up in my home town and had the same science teacher that I had, and played soccer in the fields at my kindergarten school. I know that I'm nearly 9 years younger than her, but I've essentially watched her grow up - and I remember when she went from that little redheaded freckle faced girl in that local pizza place commercial, o that 'crackhead version of Marilyn Monroe'.
Ah! I'm sorry this was so long. Anyway, this obviously isn't a fight; just a conversation! :P
Kill me, but I like her when she's being crackhead. But I also found it funny and nice when celebs do sex tapes and when they try to steal stuff from stores. It's entertaining and no one is being hurt. I don't think people should expact someone like her to be a good role model. She's in her twenties, let her have fun.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Look at the video!
I see the people at Vogue España were inspired by YSL.
Not bad.
But they tried too hard.
:(

If you hate the photo shoot that's fine. We don't need to go on about this anymore than we already have. :P

I just wrote like 20 minutes worth of stuff that I deleted because this could go on forever.
