First Look: Lara Stone for Vogue Paris September 2009 by Mert and Marcus

Absolutely beautiful. She sort of looks like Natalia Vodianova here. I'll definitely be buying this issue.

I am in shock. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! I really hope I can buy this issue, I bought last month's issue - so hopefully my mom will still be willing to get one for me again, and hopefully give it to me for my birthday.

I'm sorry to be critical, but I hate the red and white text. BESIDES THAT, the cover is absolutely stunning, this is why I love Vogue Paris - and I REALLY want this issue!

Lets have a birthday arty for Kasia on here... she picks the theme and we dress according to it. Like an all white bday party.
The barnes and nobles that I live by doenst get the magazine until like the last week of September or which ever month it is. I have never really bought a Vogue paris though. Is Lara's hair like this still? Likhas anyone seen her after this?

Yeah, at my Barnes & Noble they usually get the Vogue Paris and Vogue UKs in fast - like this issue will probably get there the first or second week in September. But, sometimes I get there late and they're gone because they only get one or two issues in and Vogue Paris sells the fastest out of the foreign Vogues. On the other hand, Vogue Italia and Nippon would get there late, probably in the last week of September. :)

I don't think her hair is still like this, only because she was at the JPG Couture show as a blonde a few weeks ago, and they shot this cover before that show. :)

I just realized, it's the eyebrows! That's why she looks so different- although they changed her hair color, I think the eyebrows are more drastic.

Well you better get in line the day it is released! I think New York may be so much more high fashion than atlanta. I mean look at our Real Housvives of Atlanta compared to Yours of New york. LOL

Yes I think you are right. I also think that her eye makeup is much different than usual. You ususally see her in this very edgy "fierce" (I said it) makeup that always is vey dark and extended longer.

Haha! Maybe in New York City, but definitely not where I live. God, I'm so scared someone else is going to buy it before me :O I told my mom and she told me to give her the name and a picture of what the issue looks like lol, so she could try to get it for my birthday. :P She gets really annoyed if I ask too much though. :S

Yeah, I agree. They love the dark eyes shadow with the bleached eyebrows. :P

Oh! Have them hold it at the store! Just slip a 10 under the desk. haha! I love that you have to give her a little picture! Have her put it in her wallet and maybe she will never forget!

Yes! I love that too I think! But now I kind of like this color. The bleaching kind of makes her face look a bit squishes together. Liike a mix of a cirlce and a square.

I never bought an issue of Vogue which isn't UK or US. because I can't read it. How is it like?

Anyway, after being in Paris I decided I must live there in the future, so as a part of it I decided I want to learn French. So maybe I should buy this issue and it will be a French practice :P
Is French a difficult language?

French is much more difficult than spanish or latin. There are so many things you must change in order to make sense. Like in spanish where you congigate, but in french congigating is more difficult and there are many many rules. I can speak french fluently now but I have taken three years of it. I think you could try though and try to make connections with english words or spanish words.

I know a little bit of French - Like, I can roughly read through some of the text in Vogue Paris, because I take French classes in school. It's hard though, but I like looking at the pictures and I like collecting them. :D

I've taken French for five years and I think it's easier than Spanish, which I speak as well. There's only two pronouns for you in French: Tu and Vous, while Spanish has four: tu, usted, vosotros, and ustedes. Also, French always needs subjects like in English. There's hundreds of English words from French. I can understand a lot of French because I speak Spanish You don't really need to know how to use the passé composé or imparfait in order to understand the text, you just have be able to recognize it. I really need to continue learning French; I mean it's the language of love...and fashion!


Anyway, I really hope I can find this issue at Barnes & Noble. I recently moved to Washington DC and the bookstore is right inside the mall, so perhaps all the fashion lovers will buy every last copy.

Does anyone know when all the September issues will be released? I have a subscription to US Vogue, so I don't really know what date the foreign issues are put on display.

and the conjugetion in french is also easier because spanish has all that imperfect and preterite tense

but the thing i hare about french is all the silents and all the accents

I love, love, love this cover! I never liked Lara much before, but seeing this makes me realize what a versatile model she is.

And Anna, I know that the UK Vogue september issue was out on 11st August, I bought it in Paris in the first day it came out. I have no idea why :P
