New York Magazine Fall Fashion Issue
New York Magazine has just released it's Fall Fashion issue!
I'm so excited! I'm subscribed to New York Magazine, and the issues always arrive the morning after they're released, so I'll get my issue tomorrow. I really like New York, it's one of the three magazines that I'm subscribed to, it's a weekly magazine and it definitely has one of the best staff of writers and editors in the publication industry. I'd say Vogue and New York have the best staffs in my opinion. They always have such fun, innovative covers and great articles. I love their website too, it's my home-page.
New York covers everything. Each week you'll get either a fashion issue, or a political issue, a health issue, an art issue, an entertainment issue, a food issue or even something else!

There's also a sister magazine named New York Look Magazine. I don't know much about it, but I know that it covers all of the collections - kind of like the Vogue Italia supplements.
I can't wait for this issue, I would recommend subscribing to New York if you like articles - or if you see it at a grocery store, I would recommend just checking it out.

Did you see the one that came out in June I think that was about those small dorm rooms and small spaces t=o design in? It was amazing!

I got the Fall Fashion issue today and I'm really excited to look through it, there's an article on Christian Lacroix and Annie Leibovitz. :)

It sounds like a really interesting one! I think that it is more like Vanity Fair and I love Vanity Fair. They both have great articles and really interesting topics. Vanity Fair and W are the only ones we subscribe to and those along with NYM have some of the best written pieces I think.

i mean, they look like they were done more out of fun than for "having to sell the issue", you know?
like they have less pressure on them and they take more risks, but they don't try to be edgy or anything. it is a really good magazine to subscribe to.
I asked my dad if he thinks it's possible to get those in Israel, and he said he thinks it is. I he is right.
I'm sortof mad at all the magazines atm, I checked and for example, subscribing to interview costs 8$ in USA and 60$ in Israel. Vogue UK is 32$ in UK and USA and 120$ in Israel :S
And Israeli magazines are cheap but they suck, they are all stuck in 2004 and rarely have editorials.

There is no Vogue Israel, or Elle Israel or stuff like that. I can totally understand why fashion magazines don't want Israeli versions- Because it won't sell very well. It doesn't match the country's culture, which I really hate.
The common Israeli can't read a fashion magazine without screaming how expensive and unwearable the clothes are, and how ugly the models are, and how everyone should just wear jeans and T-shirt and blahblahblah. That's our culture :S
Anyway, I can buy magazines in a few shops, but they are really expensive. How much does a typical Vogue US issue cost? When it new in the shops it costs about 15$ here :S
Yeah, Rima I know what you mean. They don't try to really appeal to everyone, they stick with their own style and I'm guessing that they've developed quite a committed following. Some weeks their covers will just be all text about the economic crisis and some weeks it's Lindsay Lohan posing nude as Marilyn Monroe.
Michelle, that's so annoying! :( I'm sorry. Don't worry though, you don't need a lot of magazines because you clearly know a lot more about fashion than the average person! :D Maybe they have some on Ebay Israel? And, were you able to get any issues in Paris? There must be some way you can get your hands on some without having to pay so much.
A typical Vogue US here would cost about $4.99 in a store, and $1 if you're subscribed.
