Video: John Galliano Saga
How scary! At Part 1, 7:04, John looked like Marc Jacobs when he had long hair!
And at Part 2, 2:07, John and ALT explain how Anna saved John’s career. She is basically doing the same for Olivier Theyskens no? And at 5:06, Madonna and Steven Meisel attend.
Part 3, 1:58, Anna Wintour cameo. Wow, she really is Galliano’s fairy godmother.
The video gets boring, but I find it extremely interesting tracing Galliano’s career path. He is just so passionate about fashion but the sad part is, critics dismiss him as too theatrical and think of him more as a “costume designer”. Whatever. Galliano and McQueen I think are two men responsible for making Haute Couture survive in this day and age. They brought the magic and the drama of the theatre into fashion and I think we should be grateful for that.
And I was so surprised that he started out in London. And he’s a Spaniard? I always thought he was French from the very beginning. Heck, with that accent, I thought he didn’t speak English fluently but apparently he does, having spent all that time in London.

I was obsessed with John Galliano when I was first interested in fashion. He has a great story, and he truly is the most talented designer alive. Whether his clothing is my style, or not, there's no denying that he is the best of the best - he puts Karl to shame.
