I like the ad, but I don't like it as much as the actual collection. It looks a little too model shoot-y, I tend to be a fan of the ads that aren't all about a pose on a couch. It's nice though. :)
The ad doesn't feel like Balenciaga at all. I'm used to a bare room with the models standing. The couch and the throw blanket are a bit distracting. I can't say I like it. Hopefully the rest of the campaign is better.
Although I do prefer the futuristic set, this ad looks great. The model is perfect, the clothes too, and the dark light just makes the clothing shine more. However why didn't they put in another ad the drape stuff? I loved those a lot!

it's meisel as opposed to sims
but i think it fits the fall 2009 collection...like plush velvet and luxurious fabrics
but I am with you...i much prefer the futuristic bare room Balenciaga
but i so love the the Jenn/balenciaga partnership

The shoes are rather pretty, though it looks like she's about to fall off the sofa and she's holding onto the throw thing for dear life.
