This list bores me to death, I only agree with Franca, Natalia, Daniel Craig, Penelope and Michelle - I don't agree with anyone else really. Everyone looks so boring.
I'm so tired of everyone crowing Michelle Obama as some fashion icon! I don't see what's so amazing about her style! She wears blazors and matching skirts, for godsake. There's nothing about her that makes me stop in my tracks and admire what she's wearing. In all honesty, I find the majority of what she wears kind of frumpy.
Am I the only one who thinks that?
BLAH
Alicia Keys? Penelope? RENEE? WTF?
There are so many stylish celebrities out there. Example: Angie. She wore a Michael Kors dress and the same night it was sold out on Nordstrom!
What about Dita? Sure she's not a A-List like Alicia (laugh), but she is perfection. Sharon Stone, maybe?
But Michelle is (L). We have the same name!
michelle obama is a style icon b/c she is unlike all the other first ladies
b4 her laura bush and hilary clinton would go straight to Oscar De la renta
not mObama...she goes to Alaia, Michael Kors, Junya Watanabe, J. Crew, Jason Wu, Isabel Toledo...she takes risks
and what maybe boring to you maybe classy to others
she is a first lady...she has a duty to dress properly and not like lady gaga
she wants to be respected for herself and not for the clothes she wears
but it just so happens she has impeccable taste-- a knack for picking unusual and unexpected designers...and that is why the fashion industry adores her
and guys this is vanity fair...not teen vogue or vogue or people magazine
these people were picked not for "oh i am wearing the latest balmain dress" they are picked for refinement class and consistency
i dont expect any of you to understand this at such a young age when you are still trying to figure out who you are and experimenting with which look is right for you...but in this list, these people are being praised for knowing themselves, their style and what works for them...they are not trying to be someone else, or something fashionable...they are just trying dress themselves in the best possible way they know how
Well said Rima. My sentiments exactly.
