Canadian department store Holt Renfrew has finally unveiled blogger-inspired window displays for nine of its stores on Friday. Jane Aldridge from Sea of Shoes, Tommy Ton of Jak & Jil, Bryanboy, and Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist are among those saluted by creative director John Gerhardt, who used web site captures and possibly mannequins dressed as the bloggers.  Curiously, the windows are being done without input from the bloggers themselves.

Grats to the honored bloggers.

But they don’t look all that great.

It should be very flattering for them, (I know I would be if they did that with me) But come on, Holt Renfrew, the mannequins don’t even look like them. And what is up with the weird font?

It is a fresh concept, but I think they executed it poorly.
